Therefore, case management program is quasi-experimental research aims to study and compare the caregiver burden between the caregivers who received the case management program and those who received routine care. This also compares the relapse rate of trhe patient with schizophrenia before and after implementing case management program. 60 patients with schizophrenia and their caregivers. They were divided into the experimental group and the control group. The research instrument included 1) The Manual of caring in complex Schizophrenic in the community by case amnagement. 2) The caregiver burden interview which yeild to Cronbachs Alpha coefficiency were 0.91. Data were analyzed by independent and dependent t-test for caregiver burden comparison between group and within group at .05 significant levels respectively. Major finding were as follows: The caregiving burden of caregivers in schizophrenic patients who received case management program after the experiment was significantly decrease than before experiment, at the .05 level. After the experiment, the caregiving burden of caregiver who received case management program was significantly less than those of caregivers who participated in regular caring activity, at the .05 level. The patients relapse rate is lower.
