Home care is now as and importance and essential health service, especially, in the new health care systems. In the past, psychiatric care project of Suansaranrom Hospital was lacking of outcome evaluation about break even. Therefore, it necessary study for develops the management guideline for promoting the resource to be more benefits. This research aimed to determine unit cost of psychiatric home care service project and to investigate the use of cost, labor cost, material cost and capital cost of psychiatric home care service in provider perspective. A one year retrospective study was done during October 1, 2004 to September 30, 2005. Data were collected from the total direct cost, cost, labor cost material cost and capital cost. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The results revealed that 72 clients were received 360 times of services and used full cost 616,422.09 baths. Labor cost, capital cost and material cost were 62.41 %, 30.05 % and 7.54 % respectively. The ratio of labor cost: capital cost: material cost was 6.24 : 3.00 : 0.75. The unit cost of nursing team and material cost when calculated, it was found that capital cost was 1197.68 It can be concluded that, labor cost and capital cost were the importance factors that related unit cost increasing.
