Objective : The purposes of this study was to evaluate clinical features of OCD and associated psychiatric disorders. Method: All pediatric patients with DSM- III- R diagnosis of OCD who have treated at the Child Mental Health Center during January 1st,1989 - December 31st, 1995 were studied from retrospective chart reviews. Clinical features and associated major psychiatric disorders were evaluated. Results: Twenty - five identified patients, mean age onset was 11.0+/-2.9 years and mean of duration of illness before treatment was 1 year. Common obsessions were contamination,something terrible happening and religious obsession and common compulsions were ritual repeating, checking and ritualized hand washing respectively. The diagnoses frequently comorbid with OCD were depressive disorder (20%) , anxiety disorder (20%) and Tics(8%). Conclusion : Although limited by their retrospective nature , these findings of OCD clinical features can be used as database for further research.
