Objective To develop the screening questionnaires called PDDSQ 1-4 and PDDSQ 4-18 specially designed to screen for Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDDs) among children aged twelve to 47 months and aged 4 to 18 years respectively. Results Both of the PDDSQs could differentiate the children with Pdds from normal children and children with other psychiatric conditions with statistical significance (One-way ANOVA test p‹0.001). In addition Pearson's corrlation coefficient (r) of the scores obtained from the two-week test-retest method for PDDSQ 1-4 and PDDSQ 4-18 were equal to 0.91 and 0.88 respectively. Internal consisitency of PDDSQ 1-4 was 0.95 and that of PDDSQ 4-18 was 0.91. At the 13-or-more cut-off point PDDSQ 1-4 demonstrated a sensitivity score of 0.82 specificity of 0.94 and kappa index of agreement of 0.73 On the other hand at the 18-or-more cut-off point PDDSQ 4-18 demonstrated a sensitivity score of 0.82 specificity of 0.88 and kappa index of agreement pf 0.67
