The purpose of this research was to study the relation ships between personal backgrounds and coping behavior of psychiatric nurse in rendering nursing care. The majaor findings were followed 1. There was no relationship between the position experience in psychiatric hospital, education bachground in psychiatric nursing and coping behavior of psychiatric nurse in redering nursing care. 2. There was a positive singificant relationship at the .05 level between life events and coping behavior-problem solving stule of psychiatric nurse in rendering nursing care. On the other hand, there was no significant relationship between life events and coping behavior pf psychiatric nurse.
