At the present time psychotherapy of schizophrenia has not been reported in any Thai Medical Journal. Consequently, a review of literatures on several methods were those performed by psychiatrists with psychianalytic background such as Paul Federn. Melanie Klein Sechehayc. Fromm Reichmann, John Rosen, etc. and some from psychobiology school. In this paper psychotherapy was employed in five female schizophrenic cases in Srithanya Hospital. The method used was eclectic. The patients had suffered from psychiatric illness for not less than two years. They were not over 38 years of age and had overage intellectual capacity. Twenty therapeutic sessions were given to each patient. The result was moderately successful. Two of the patients were taken home by their relatives and one went home because she was homesick. The condition at discharge was moderately improved, Two patients remain in the hospital at the time of this report because there was on progress during the course of treatment.
