รายละเอียด / Details:
This study originated from the observation of the attending numbers of the parents and children at the clinic. The decreasing number of the new cases, the irregular attending the non-cooperative attitudes of partents interested the reporters to find out the influence upon the failure of the Child Guidance service and its unpopularity. As we all understand the importance of parentak attitudes to the development of the child has been generally accepted. They may delay or accelerate training areas of development. The current extensive studies of many researchers have revealed the social developmental stages occurs within family the parental attitudes would be of major importance to the child Therefore the parental attitude would reflect the influence upon the use of our service for their children own sake. This paper is determined to study the parental attitudes, the understanding. And the cooperation of the parents to our service. Many reports have been implicitly assum edthat objective attitude measurment could give valid informations on such parental attitudes. It is entriely agreed that the interveiw is suprior for some subject matters the questionnaire for others Hpwever the questionnaire is emplobed in this study so as to save the time to avoid the parental guarding attitude. And because of the convenience in contacting the non-aattending parents at the time of study. The amalysis of the results would work out as the comparison of the new cases and the old cases which have been attending the clinic up to 1967. We expect to obtain the result of more positive the old cases as the change in response to the treatment. The reliability of this investigation is very slender test-retest reliability has never been done properly. We obly try on this study as a preliminary test, in an attempt to develop more efficientmenthods, Although the procedure of this study does not seem to be recognizable the result would assist greatlyin understanding the problems of the failure of child Guidance Service. Public education is proved to be an urgent need to rebuild the good unberstanding and positive attitudes of clients towards our Child Guidance Clinic.
