The objectives of this study was to evaluate the project of quality development of Inpatient Department of Suanprung Psychiatric Hospital according to ISO 9002 System using CIPP Model. The data about context input and process of the project were collected by reviewing document papers, publication related to quality management activities and also interviewing the Director and coordinating quality team members of the Hospital. Product or outcome of the project was evaluated by expliring the patients satisfactory index using questionnaire modified from scale of Inpatients Satisfaction of Inpatient (IP-VOICE) developde by Virote Yangcharoenszthin and et al. The result of this study were follow; 1. Cintext : The organization structure was hierarchic with coordination both vertically and horizontally. There were job descriptions and scope of responsibilities for each department and division with well-defined terms and focusing on the mission of the hospital. Human resource was allocated appropriately to department and divisions according to their functional responsibility. All kind professionals abtained encouragement for higher training and education upgrade. Department of nursing and management system overseen by several committee of staff member comorised of representatives from all disciplines. 2. Input : Suanprung Hospital has the policy of quality development of services, Vision and Mission in line with the policy of the Department of Mental Health which aims to satisfy clients with quality services. There had been several quality improvement activities done in Suanorung Hospital namely excellent service behavior (ESB) training, 5 S, and AIC process. Quality improvement under ISO 9002 system initiated and led by the Directorm has been used as an important strategy to encourage auality improvement process by which jobs processes were monitored and regulated to ensure standard and consistency. A team of facilitators selected and appointed by quality management committee representing all kind of professional. It took 1 year to finish this quality improvement project. Activities mainly consisted of training for hospital staff. 3. Process : Development process consisted of planning, evaluation and continuously sdjustment throughout the duration. The process had been carried on by holding meeting in which main agenda involves planning, monotoring, problem and obstacles. 4. Product : Its was found that the main reasons of clients for using service at Suanprung Hospital were having expert psychiatrists, comfortable place, and convenience. Regarding medical service quality, most of the patients were provided and understood information about their illness and treatment. They satisfied with doctors' competency and capability in treating illness and promptness in providing medical service, and attentiveness to patients and favorable manner. Regarding quality of nursing most of the patients reported that they were provided with advice about self-care after discharge. Several attributes were rated as satisfactory namely cleanliness and comfortable bedrooms, nurses' competency, promptness of nurse in responding to patients needs and attentiveness to illness and well-being of patients. Overall assessment of quality was found that most of patients would like to recommend their relatives to use the service of Suanprung hospital and will come back again to use.
