Over the years, drug abuse has been a significant issue in Thai society. The Thai government have put this issue into the government agenda and policy, and delegated the Ministey of Public Health to take responsibility for encountering it. Although there has been a guideling of both treatment and rehabilitation for drug abusers, evidence reveals that this is not yet adequate. Drug abuses need not only treatment but also heatlh promotion, prevention of re-addiction, and improvement of their quality of life. Since 2002, Wungnoi hospital has developed a therapeutic program namely "the holistically empowering process" which integrates the bio-psycho-social approach to the drug abusers at Wiwat-polameung school, wungnoi, ayuthaya. There are 6 groups of persons with drug abuse totally 580, who attended this program. In each group, there has been a continuing development of screening, therapeutic, and evaluation system including the occuptional training and job finding system for them. This development is meant to help the drug abusers to get through the empowering process leading them to live their life without depending on drugs or returning to use them again. The prominence of this development is the collaboration and networking system that focuses on the concept of drug abuser centered. Integration, and holistic approach which could help them change their behaviors in a positive way. Objectives: 1. To develop a model of screening, treatment, rehabilitation, and improvement of quality of life, of drug abusers using "the holistically empoering process" which integrates the bio-psycho-social approach at wiwat-polameung school, wungnoi, Ayuthaya. 2.
