This research has been conducted as descriptive correlation. Its purposes were to study (1) the correlation netween organization climate and mental health effectiveness, (2) the correlation between mental health state and mental health effectiveness, and (3) the variables predicing mental health effectiveness in the psychiatric hospital of the Northeastern. The 423 samples were selected from the nurse personnel's in the psychiatric hospitals of the Northeastern, by the multistage sampling. The research tools consisted of a questionnaire on organizational climate with the variable value of .94 a screening test on mental health state with the sensitive value of 81.30 percent, the specific value of 88.20 percent, and the score cutting point value of 4/5 and an evaluative inventory on mental healtheffectiveness with the variable of .98. The statistical procedures applied for data analysis were percentage mean standard deviation analysis of variance Kendall's correlation, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. The results of the research were found as followings: 1. The organizational climate by the whole and aspect classification were positively related with the mental health effectiveness in the psychiatric hospitals of the Northeastern with the statistical significance at .05 level of confidence. 2. The negative mental health state by the whole and aspect classification were negativelyrelated with the mental health effectiveness in the psychiatric hospitals of the Northeastern with the statistical significance at .05 level of confidence. 3. The co-workers' behavior, the organizational structure, and the profound depression were variables that could predict the mental health effectiveness in the psychiatric hospitals of the Northeastern with the statistical significance at .058 level of confidence, and having predicting coefficient of 17 percent (R2=.17)
