Objective : To examine the characteristics of suicides in Thailand between 1998 and 2002. Method: Data from the Bureau of Policy and Strategy, Ministry of Public Health, was obtained to analyze mortality suicide. Data examined were rates, age groups genders, and methods of suicides during 1998-2002. Results: The average suicide rate during 1998-2002 was 8.1 per 100,000 with the male to female ratio of 3.4:1.
